I have been involved in professional firm management since I first entered the legal profession. I have been a partner in three law firms and acted as consultant to others, from national partnerships to sole practitioners.
In the 1990s I chaired the New Zealand Law Society's Practice Management Committee and over the years have been involved in the organisation of several practice management conferences and seminars.
I am a past president of the Canterbury District law Society and been a member of the New Zealand Law Society and its executive committee. For some years now I have run an ethics workshop for the Trust Account Partners Programme and I have recently assisted the University of Waikato Business School with its bi-annual Law Firm Comparison.
